Patients throughout the central Connecticut area can now receive state-of-the-art imaging services for a wide range of health issues at the Medical Arts Center, a modern and convenient new facility that adjoins the newly built Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut on the New Britain-Plainville town line.
The Medical Arts Center is located on the Plainville side of the facility at 201 North Mountain Road; the new cancer center is located on the New Britain side at 183 North Mountain Road. The Medical Arts Center is the location for both The Hospital of Central Connecticut Imaging Center and The Hospital of Central Connecticut Comprehensive Breast Health Center, which both offer state-of-the-art imaging, diagnostic and radiologic technology.
The Imaging Center features some of the most advanced equipment and technology for diagnostic procedures available in the state, including a 3T MRI – the most advanced MRI technology available today. The 3T, which refers to the strength of the magnet technology, is able to provide high-resolution diagnostic images that previously were not available.
The Imaging Center also offers CT, PET CT, General Ultrasound and General X-Ray services, providing patients with a full range of options for diagnostic imaging.
The Comprehensive Breast Health Center, which is located next to the Imaging Center on the ground floor of the facility, also features state-of-the-art technology for the diagnosis of breast-related health issues. The Breast Health Center offers patients the most up-to-date mammography testing, Breast Ultrasound, Breast-specific Gamma Imaging and Breast Biopsies.
Imaging services are provided at both centers in a modern and welcoming environment that emphasizes patient comfort, convenience and coordinated care.
