IGNOU to begin MA in development studies from July 2018 session, check details here

The MADVS programme will be a two-year course.

IGNOU’s School of Extension and Development Studies (SOEDS) is starting a Master of Arts (Development Studies) programme from July 2018 session. The MADVS programme is intended for development professionals across the sectors and fresh graduates interested in pursuing a career as a development professional, according to the programme coordinator, prof. PVK Sasidhar.

Fresh graduates with a degree in any discipline; development functionaries like village, mandal, block, municipal and district development officials; civil servants of state and central government; and employees of the development institutes, research organisations, NGOs and corporate social responsibility divisions, are eligible to apply for the MADVS programme.

The programme aims to impart knowledge on various aspects of development studies, train qualified human resources in the professional area of development studies and develop professional skills in formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects and programmes.
